Teaching Teachers to Teach Math (USA)

Headlines and news reports consistently warn that children in the United States lag far behind other countries in math.  In fact, Secretary of Education, Arne Duncon, has said that test scores should “serve as a wake-up call” for the country. To address this concern, the Common Core Standards were developed:  the latest in a long line of reforms aimed to improve math scores.

In New Fairfield Connecticut, Consolidated School students not only excel in math, they like it.
